ABOUT

I create chillstep/darkwave music.

Music has always been a part of my life. When I was a child, my mother enrolled me in piano lessons at 7 years old, then I learned to play a vintage electronic organ and later, all kinds of keyboards.

In the late 80's and early 90's I played the keyboard in various local bands, and tired of not creating the music I liked, I started composing my own songs with a workstation keyboard. I fell in love with electronic music and the creative independence it gave me. Not relying on anyone's opinion or ability was a turning point for me as a composer. I remember my first compositions on an 8-track sequencer on my keyboard so fondly...

My musical influences are very varied, Prince, Depeche Mode, Queen, ABBA, The Bee Gees, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, The Corrs, Madonna, The Chemical Brothers, Mecano, Roxy Music, Marilyn Manson, NIN, Hans Zimmer... I think I have appreciated the good music of all times regardless of styles. And I have always thought that a good song admits its arrangement for any musical genre without losing its essence or character. Good song is a good song.

In 2000 I started running a comercial recording and production studio, I composed music for TV, series, movies, commercials... The money came but the illusion and love for music died. Having known from within the dirty part of the music industry and people of low human quality, in 2006 I felt that I was not taking a good path and left the business, the music and changed my life in all aspects. It was one of the best decisions I could make, leaving an environment of toxic people is always a correct option.

The years passed, and the music was always there, in the background. I listened to artists I liked, discovered new styles and influences, occasionally played the piano when I had the chance... but my creativity was in a coma. I felt the music from the outside, I enjoyed the great work of others, but inside me I knew that one day that would change.

And suddenly, in the damn year 2020, during the confinement in my country, there came a moment when one night, boring and nostalgic, the idea of composing again arose strong, and a dim illusion seized me. In April 2020 I set up a small home studio and started creating music again. And it was as if time had not passed, I had a period of adaptation to the huge technological improvements that had occurred, but my soul as a musician remained focused.

Technological advances have allowed me to have practically unlimited resources when composing and producing my music, something unthinkable years ago.

Now I feel free, my creativity has emerged without ties as I have never been able to do before, since it depended on third parties and limited technology.

Now I feel that my music is my transcendence...
